I'm trying to draw more often, so this month I'll draw a pride flag as a flower every day (ideally). I won't be able to do all flags, of course, but I have 20 I'll try my best to draw.

Forgive the bleeding bits, the paper said it was good for marker and mixed media, but it was exaggerating its ability. Either that or I'm bad with my brand new markers, which, likely.

Fineliners are Faber Castel M and S, color markers are Ohuhu from their Honolulu series.

Collared pratincole in June on Wheldrake Ings, Yorkshire. Painted for the upcoming book 'Birds of the Lower Derwent Valley' by Craig Ralston.

I grew up next to the Lower Derwent Valley and do miss the smell of meadowsweet underfoot and skies full of noisy swifts.

Remembering one time in high school careers day when our school decided to support "girls in STEM" by putting me in a class of only girls who generally had good grades for a day of classes where they tried to get us into STEM. The only class I remember was a guy trying to get us into engineering by showing us pictures of makeup products and high heels 😑

#I was just very confused and pissed off not because of the sexism (I realised that much later LOL) but because my friends got to do cool #stuff for careers day meanwhile my class of girls were p much being told off for not being into STEM (most of the students were into art or #P.E or English or whatever)#nnr txt

Drawing faces is so hard I wish it was easier there's nothing that annoys me more than drawing a face and then being nitpicky about it for a week
